Level 6 Hunter is required to catch the butterfly and 42 Archaeology is required to access the Everlight dig site. Speaking to Vanescula Drakan is also required to be able to jump the barrier into the dig site.
The golden butterfly is a creature that can be found at the Everlight Dig Site. Catching it grants 10 Hunter experience, 10 Agility experience, and unlocks the achievement The Seeker's Job. Being bare-handed is not required to catch it, and it does not appear as a yellow dot on the minimap. In addition, it does not disappear or give any items when caught. Catching the golden butterfly takes significantly longer than any other butterfly, with it taking up to 15 minutes.
