The Imp Champion can be defeated after obtaining the Imp Champion Scroll. This is a 1/5000 drop from Imps.
Recommended is to kill the Imps in the Karamja Volcano lesser demon dungeon. There are multiple imps scattered around here, which you can kill by Bladed diving to them or by using Magic or Ranged.
The AFK method for this task would be to place your cannon here and let it fire at the Imps around the Kandarin Monastery:
