Overview[edit]
The following Skills and Quests are needed to complete the Easy Desert diary (12 Achievements):
- 5 Hunter;
- 7 Magic;
- 14 Runecrafting;
- 21 Thieving;
- Stolen Hearts;
- Diamond in the Rough;
- One Piercing Note;
- Gertrude's Cat;
- Icthlarin's Little Helper
You will also need the following items:
- Desert shirt, robe and boots;
- Bird Snare;
- 1000 coins;
- A waterskin that isn't full;
- A fire talisman, or wicked hood that has consumed one if you have rolled that task already;
- A pure or rune essence;
- 5 Artifacts from Pyramid Plunder;
- Runes for earning Pizazz Points (minimum of 3 water and 3 cosmic runes at 7 Magic).

The easiest way to get to the right place is to go up to the palace roof from the northwest staircase, drop off the west side, and then shimmy-across the rope to get to the roof of the bank. Alternatively you could follow the route taken during the quest. |
| Touring Gear | Equip a full set of desert clothing while standing in the desert. | None | The set (shirt, robe and boots) can be bought from Shantay at Shantay Pass. Wearing either black desert robe or black desert shirt will not complete the achievement. |
| Memento Mori | View the Duel Arena scoreboard. | None | The scoreboard is just inside the Duel Arena area, north-east of Al Kharid. |

A fire talisman can easily be obtained by defeating the level 25 fire wizard north-west of Port Sarim. Rune/pure essence can either be withdrawn from the wicked hood if you have had that task, obtained from temple trekking if you have had a task for this previously, or mined. You do not need any quests to unlock Runecrafting or to mine essence. |
| Seems Legit | Obtain five artefacts from Pyramid Plunder and sell them to Simon in one go. | *21 Thieving *Icthlarin's Little Helper (started) | Ichthlarin's Little Helper only needs to be started, until the point where you enter Sophanem for the first time. | Extra Cheese | Exchange pizazz points at the Mage Training Arena. | 7 Magic | Any reward not covered by a task (wands, infinity robes and bones to peaches) is fine. It is recommended to buy a cosmic rune for 5 Enchantment points.
This can be done by casting Lvl-1 Enchant on a dragonstone 3 times costing 3 cosmic and 3 water runes. Cosmic runes can be obtained from the Wilderness Mage Arena bank for 232 coins each. Once you have the points, you can exchange them at the Rewards Guardian, who is located on the 1st floor. |
| Wiggle Room | Perform the troubadour dance emote near the dancers outside the Citharede Abbey. | *One Piercing Note | Using the 'dance-with' option on the dancers will not work. The player must use the Troubadour Dance emote from the emote tab in the chatbox.
It is recommended to play the quest with sound on, and to keep at least one piece of the robes as they act as Saradomin protection in God Wars Dungeon. |
Rewards[edit]
Upon completion of the achievements, talk to Grand Vizier Hassan, who is located in Al Kharid palace (or in the Merchant district in Menaphos after The Jack of Spades quest), indicated by the green star on the map. He will give you a 2000xp lamp for a skill level 29 or higher (if you do not have a skill you can use it on, you must use it on the first skill that reaches 29, or destroy the lamp), some coins, and the Desert amulet 1, which has the following perks:
When worn:
- Successfully cutting a Kharidian cactus gives 2 units of water.
At all times:
- Mage Training Arena prices are lowered by 2%;
- Sparkly dung kalphites drop double loot;
- A bag of lost items can be claimed from any rug merchant (once per day).
Notes[edit]
While completion of Icthlarin's Little Helper is not strictly required to finish this diary, you can complete it under taskman rules, as with any other quest a task requires you to start.
