Description
You may now train a skill of your choice to level 80. You may not actively gather supplies for the skill you choose, if doing so would train other skills that are not unrestricted. Select your desired skill and press 'Complete'. You can work on the skill in your own time, until you've reached level 80.

Possible Perks[edit]

While any skill can be chosen for levelling, only a few have potential perks that come with having the higher level. As the 120 skills have a softcap of level 80 in Medium tier, only normal skills can gain any advantage.

Construction[edit]

The benefits of early construction rely on boosting at or near level 80 in order to upgrade the costume room. Most importantly, upgrading the armor case removed the restriction on number of outfits that can be stored inside, potentially leading to an increase of dozens of available bank spaces.

Unlock Construction Level Notes
Mahogany cape rack 72 Bank space
Mahogany fancy dress box 80 Bank space
Mahogany armour case 82[1] Bank space
Mahogany treasure chest 84[1] Bank space
Gilded mahogany wardrobe 87[2] Bank space
  1. These require boosts, but can be achieved with the crystal saw and teak shelves 2 tea
  2. This requires boosting with spicy stew and a crystal saw

Crafting[edit]

Early crafting levels are for creating specific pieces of jewelry. This can aid in combat, luck, and clue scroll steps. The biggest benefit is to hard clue scrolls, but not having these upgrades shouldn't be too problematic in Medium tier.

Level 80 crafting is also a requirement to unlock Invention, and getting this early can speed up this task in Hard tier.

Unlock Crafting Level Notes
Onyx ring 72 Tier 3 luck, stats from imbued
Hydrix ring 79 Stats and ring of death bonuses
Dragonstone amulet 80 Stats and hard clue emote

Divination[edit]

Once again, the main draw of choosing divination is to use caches for slowly training the skill without ever touching a wisp. Still, this does give access to the sign of life.

Level 80 divination is also a requirement to unlock Invention, and getting this early can speed up this task in Hard tier.

Sign of life 78 Avoid death, work towards passive

Fletching[edit]

Fletching doesn't have a real useful unlock in terms of accessing a new feature of the skill, but it can still be useful. Training fletching allows you to create a large number of bows for eventual disassembly with invention. This can be a big boost to early component requirements.

Herblore[edit]

As a 120 skill, there are no unlocks that are obtained by using this task to train Herblore, as level 80 is forced by an active task in the tier; however, similarly to the use of caches for divination, choosing herblore will let you train slowly via Herby Werby. This may also let you get a passive task or two.
