Rule Changes[edit]

Addition of the following sub-section to rule 5, Group Pvm activities[edit]

Placeholders Group encounters (log and achievement tasks) are eligible for placeholders. Placeholders is an artificial system implemented to ensure taskmen can always work on their active task. If you roll a group boss encounter, and cannot find a team at present, you're allowed to temporarily skip it. For log item tasks this is achieved by selecting the "Placeholder" from the unique item drop-down menu before selecting "complete". Your placeholdered task will now appear in the unlocks-section on your Dashboard. For feats/achievements, this is achieved by selecting "complete". Afterwards, you should make a note of the placeholdered task.

Bosses categorized as group encounters[edit]

Ultimately, the task admins decide whether an encounter classifies as group or solo, but the decisions are based upon the following criteria:

If one or more of the following apply from the hard tier onwards, a boss is generally considered a group encounter and thus eligible for grouping and placeholders and will be accessible as soon as you enter the tier it first appears in.

  • If a boss has no achievements saying: "Can only be completed in a solo instance".
  • If a boss can be faced in a group, but the loot is distributed individually.
  • If a boss has an enrage mechanic that resets with the in-game daily reset, it is eligible for placeholders.

This makes the list of boss encounters eligible for placeholders and/or grouping consist of the following: Elite Dungeons 1-3, Nex, Kerapac, Kalphite King, Barrows: Rise of the Six, Nex - Angel of Death, Raksha - the Shadow Colossus, Vorago, Solak, and Araxxi.
